We are present in several national and international exhibitions about wine, such as Vinitaly in Verona or the PROWEIN of Dusseldorf in Germany. Is during these occasions that we build business, but often human, relashionships. On the occasion of our participation, with a representative of Sicilian wine producers, at the PROWEIN 2008, the daily Handelsbatt in the Friday edition of January 11th 2008, inside his weekly "Weekend" was talking about us. Here's an excerpt of the article and the original version.

A princely sicilian

Original PDF Article (German)

It was in April last Year in Dusseldorf. The Chamber of Commerce from Ragusa had to give a sample of wines from its region so invited some wine producers to the Prowein event. Just after few words, most of them showed very good consideration of their work and their inherited property managed by brilliant winemakers. As common use in Sicily.
From this cheerful chattering group rose a 1.90-meter man - with an angular head and robust arms, such as roof beams. He felt evidently not very well among eloquent people, staying apart quietly. The best wine of the evening was of him. His name is Emanuele Novara. His age: 41 years.
The rustic appearance deceives. Prudent person, cautious, who knows how to speak wisely. Farmer by profession but persistent self-taught, has created a great experience in wine. His company, located on a hill around Comiso country, is a restored old farmhouse, but inside is equipped with modern machines for the processing of grapes and wine.
Whole family strives to give a hand to the farm. The seventeen year old daughter, Noemi, is very fond of viticulture and looks closely to what the father does. Novara has inherited vineyards from his family but now he has 25 Ha. Much of this land is cultivated with grapes. The best plots are planted with trees of Frappato and Nero d'Avola and from these grapes make a very good Cerasuolo di Vittoria. Not to be confused with the Cerasuolo Rosato. Novara gives a longer fermentation to the minced grapes with the peel before crushing, so to get a wine with deep red color then left aging inside oak barrels. A product that does not exceed 10000 bottles per year. There are two productions: one under the name of "Il Presidente" (The President), a Nero d'Avola, the other, his favorite wine, proudly, "Il Principe" (The Prince).
Okay, you can give to a so good wine such princely title. This wine has a warm aroma, expands the palate with a hint of wild plum and blackcurrant, highlighted by a soft breath of wood.
The sip runs almost creamy on the palate, it becomes warm and soft with a very long final. Goes very well with wild haunted red meat long hair and, especially in these places, on charcoal grilled quail on vine shoots and very well with cheeses. [...]
